As the GMOTD implies, the guild will be done formally raiding. This is happening for a few reasons of which I will elaborate on later on in this post. I will be keeping the guild around, and casually pvping or doing raids when they pop up, and depending on input from other people, doing a casual 10 man raid guild. I invite you all to stay here with me and my friends and whoever else stays, but at the same time, I know a lot of you belong in something higher, as I am taking this giant step back. It was my honour and pleasure leading you all. We had a lot of good times together, and I hope you all remember the experience you had in this guild and what it has taught you, whether it be buffing on time, bringing consumables, or just in general meeting a regular schedule.
I myself have to take a step back from the game. This summer I am going to be working at least 5 days a week, and monday-friday i'll be getting up at 7 to do very labour-intensive work. Personally, I have always liked a type of, say, "xbox gaming", such that, you can log on for 1 match, 2 matches, or 30 matches, whatever you want, whenever you want. Gotta go? Leave mid game. Just woke up? Join a game, etc. I miss this, and this is the basis behind me wanting to just PvP (BGs probably) and casually raid.
I am deeply sorry for what this means for many of you, but at the same time, this is just a game. It is seemingly impossible to let go of because of the insane amount of time invested and the rewards that are only attained through that much time, but for me, I have overcome this before, and am doing so (or starting to) once again. I know this is going to sound gay to a lot of you, but I honestly feel as though this game covers me with a black blanket that blocks out everything else in my life. I miss going to the gym, working at subway more than 1 day a week, and just generally spending time anywhere else but my bedroom on my laptop. Of course, many of you can do those other things responsibly and play the game at the same time; I however, cannot.
For those of you who leave, please tell me what guild you are going to so I can support your application, I will talk to various GM's across the server about our situation and ask them to keep an eye out for whatever they might need. Once again, if you feel the need to step back a bit from the game (Purplestoooof), or just want to hang out with whoever else is here, you are free to do so. If you would like to keep your alts in guild but join another guild and raid with them on your main, that is perfectly fine too.
I would like to make it clear that I am not stopping this or doing all of this because of you guys, because of wiping, or because of anything like that. I enjoyed raiding and progression probably more than anyone else.
I wish you all the best of luck at school, work, in relationships and in general, life. Once again, it was my pleasure calling myself the GM, and I thank you all for the time you have invested for the betterment of the guild. We have come a long way, and don't let anyone tell you that the core of this guild wasn't one of the best around.
